I met with Hannah and Edward last year to discuss their wedding at Capo Lagala, Sorrento in Italy. From the moment we met I knew I just had to shoot their wedding for them and we’d get along fantastically. One of my other big passions in life is travel so it’s moments like this when I realize I really do have the best job being a destination wedding photographer. Their wedding was just spectacular all be it one of the hottest days I can remember, I don’t know how the guys coped all suited and booted.
Luckily there were two of us on the day and a huge thank you to Jamie Burrell for second shooting with me on the day. Hannah and Edward were both staying at Capo Lagala so while I sent Jamie out into the sunshine to get some shots of the boys taking an early morning swim I shot the bridal prep. Although, it was fun sneaking the wedding dress around the hotel without Edward seeing it.
Their wedding ceremony took place at the beautiful San Francesco Cloisters in Sorrento town before heading back to Capo Lagala for the reception. With stunning view along the Amalfi cost it was just the perfect setting for the wedding celebrations.
It was such a tough job selecting the images for this blog post so there are a few more than I normally post. Also here are some very kind words from Hannah.
“Ben, you really outdid yourself! We are so pleased with the photos they look amazing and the hard work you put into the day really shows, especially given the 30 plus degree heat! It really was so lovely looking through all the photos it was like reliving the day all over again – you captured the day brilliantly and we can’t thank you enough for our gorgeous memories… Thank you! X”
