Sunday 21st February 2016 took me to Ufton Court which is between Newbury and Reading in Berkshire to photograph the wedding of Joe and Natasha. Joe’s sister and brother in law are old university friends of mine so I was delighted when he got in touch to ask me to capture his big day. Natasha and Joe are a lovely couple who have travelled extensively together and just set up a home together in West London, their lives are very busy with Natasha being a GP and Joe working in the charity sector.

I spent the morning capturing both the bride and groom getting ready. It was a very family centered party with sisters, nieces and nephews all being involved. The ceremony was held in the Tithe Barn which is a lovely intimate space. The singing during the ceremony was sensational, probably to be expected as they are both members of a gospal choir. We were extremly lucky with the weather, it was a cold but sunny day, this mean’t that guests were able to enjoy a toast outside and I was able to capture some portrait shots within the grounds of Ufton Court.
It was then time for the wedding breakfast and speeches. The speeches were very emotional and brought much laughter and tears , the later coming from the references that Joe made to receiving a kidney transplant when he was younger. He has always been an avid Portsmouth football club fan and even when he was ill was taken in his wheelchair to ensure that he didn’t miss a match so as a surprise the Chairman of the club came along and presented him with a signed ball. After the wedding breakfast Joe and Natasha hit the dance floor and were soon joined by their guests and the party was in full swing.
Some kind words from the bride and groom.
“Ben did a cracking job at our wedding and really captured the whole day beautifull
Thank you Joe and Natasha for allowing me to capture your day and I wish you a long, happy and healthy marriage.
