Deb’s and Ian contacted me well over a year ago about photographing their Longstowe Hall wedding. The wedding took place at the end of May and I think it has to be the wettest wedding I’ve ever shot. Although, this didn’t dampen spirits on the day and there were plenty of brollies to hand for the short walk from the ceremony to the reception.
My day started as it often does with the bridal preparations in one of the on site cottages. As a documentary wedding photographer I’m there to tell the story of the day, even if the weather is against you. All the elements for a beautiful day are still there to be captured; the bride and groom celebrating with their family and friends. When there was a break in the weather we made the most of it to capture some stunning bridal portraits.
Here are some kind words from Deb’s “In spite of a very rainy wedding day we ended up with so many wonderful photographs from you. The picture of us amongst the bluebells is just perfect. Thank you for making us feel so relaxed on the day and capturing those special moments. x”
As usual here’s a small selection of my favorite images from the day. I hope you enjoy them and please feel free to leave a comment on the blog, thanks.
