Wow I can’t believe that 2017 was my 9th full year of shooting weddings. Again my job has taken me to some amazing place’s this year. Not only beautiful weddings here at home but to weddings in Morocco, America and Poland.
I have some great friends within the wedding business and would like to thank those who have supported me throughout the year, whether it be by assisting me at one of my weddings or having me along to one of yours. All your help, advice and encouragement has been really appreciated. It’s also a great pleasure to work with and mentor up and coming photographers who book on one of our corses at The Trained Eye. I love working with the students especially on our year long academy course, helping them realise their dreams of becoming a wedding photographer.
For all the people who liked my images on my Instagram page and all your kind comments this really does help. On the 1st of January last year I decided to do ‘Project 365’ on Instagram which meant taking and posting an image everyday. This was the second time I’ve done this the first time was back in 2015 so maybe in 2019 I will re-visit the project. I do miss it. You can check the images out on my Instagram page.
As always the biggest thanks goes to all the couples who trusted me to capture their wedding day. The longer I do this job that I love I realise what an honour it is to capture, what is one of the most important days in anybodies life. It’s very rare that people get to gather all their family and friends in one place. It’s the relationships, emotion and events of the day that I so enjoy capturing to be enjoyed now and for future generations.
It wasn’t easy to make the selection of images from 2017 for this blog post. However, below is a selection of some of my personal favourite moments from what has been a great year.
