Dublin wedding photography – Stephanie and John
In February 2015, I was honoured to be invited to Dublin to photograph the wedding of Stephanie and John.
I flew out to Dublin two days before the wedding with my good friend and fellow photographer, Bob Owen. Teaming up with a second photographer means that we were able to capture every aspect of Stephanie and John’s wedding day from both the bride and groom’s perspectives.
On the day before the wedding, Bob and I took a tour round the Guinness factory (well when in Dublin), and the groom kindly treated me to a round of golf at the beautiful golf course at Carton House. We also had plenty of time to explore the reception venue.
The morning of Saturday 7th February 2015 dawned cold and overcast, a typical February morning in Dublin, but the atmosphere was warm and happy as Stephanie and John got ready.
Stephanie and her bridesmaids prepared for the day at Stephanie’s home in Lusk, not far from St. Maccullin’s Church, Lusk, where the ceremony was to take place. The rest of the guests and wedding party boarded a wedding bus from their hotel to the church.
Once the wedding ceremony drew to a close and the happy couple were pronounced husband and wife, Stephanie and John headed to Carton House, Dublin, in a white vintage Bentley for their wedding reception.
The wedding reception was fantastic, and Bob and I had a great time capturing the day. The speeches offered the perfect mix of tears and laughter, and the groom’s speech, in particular, raised the roof. Stephanie, John and their many guests danced long into the evening and John even got up to sing a few songs, much to his bride’s delight.
Carton House, Dublin, was a brilliant wedding venue and its sprawling, historic grounds provided a perfect backdrop to some gorgeous images of Stephanie and John.
Some very kind words from the bride and groom.
“We would highly recommend Benjamin Toms Photography to anyone looking for an amazing and very talented photographer. We couldn’t have been happier with our photos. They tell a story about the day and you really feel like you’re there all over again. We have lots of beautiful poses with our family but what we really loved about Ben’s is his eye for catching an amazing moment that maybe we didn’t even see that day. His creativity and passion for what he does shines through in all of his photos. Not only does Ben deliver amazing photos but he is absolutely wonderful to work with. We felt so comfortable with Ben that it was very easy to relax and just have fun. An exceptional talent at a very reasonable price”
If your considering getting married at Carton House please do get in touch, as I’d love to discuss your wedding photography with you. Below are a few of my favourite images from the wonderful day.
