Saturday 22nd August 2015 was the most spectacular summers day for a wedding. I headed to Frensham, Surrey to capture Gemma and Alastair’s wedding. They had chosen to hold their wedding ceremony and reception at Millbridge Court which is a boutique hotel and wedding barn in the heart of the Surrey countryside. It is a contemporary wedding barn that brims with natural light, which has a clean modern yet cosy interior.

I spent the morning with the bridal party, capturing the preparations, as Gemma and her bridesmaids got ready. Their friendship was evident with all the laughter that filled the room; they even all had matching pajamas. A special moment was when Gemma opened a card that Alastair had written her which brought her to tears. Luckily this was before her make up had been finished. The bride and her bridesmaids looked beautiful, the peach colored dresses of the bridesmaids reflected the colour scheme of the day which was carried through to the flowers and stunning 4 tiered floral butter cream cake.
The grounds at Millbridge Court are a real showstopper and being such a glorious day Gemma and Alastair were able to take advantage of having the wedding ceremony outside. After the ceremony the lawns were utilized for enjoying cocktails and canapés and games of giant Jenga.
The guests headed inside to the wedding barn at Millbridge Court for the wedding breakfast. The table plan definitely had my seal of approval, countries that the couple had traveled together, notably South America, South East Asia and Australasia, I was pleased to see Bolivia on there as this was my favorite country when backpacking over a decade ago. A guest from each table had been allocated server and they were given a comical apron, which tickled everyone.
After dinner was the cutting of the cake and then plenty of dancing with a cocktail hour incorporated into the evening which was enjoyed by many.
Thank you Gemma and Alastair for allowing me to capture your day and I wish you all the happiness for the future.
